Although online business owners are being dazzled by social media sites like Facebook and Twitter, the old-style method of participating in highly-targeted forums or message boards is still one of the most effective traffic-generation methods used today. Your link can be prominently displayed in front of the exact audience you’re attempting to lure. Don’t overlook this strategy. You may be surprised with the results it still brings in.

These 4 quick tips will ensure that you are using forums effectively and to the best advantage.

Quick Tip #1: Choose wisely

Forums are extremely popular on the internet. You can more than likely find a forum related to just about any subject you can think of from fantasy baseball to purses. Because of the abundance of forums, you should be very picky when choosing which ones you’ll frequent and post on. This will save you time and allow you to achieve optimum results.

I am VERY pleased With Linking LoopHole

First of all, I have used LLH on HIGHLY competitive keywords ONLY, because when I test I like to put it through the ringers!

And I am not afraid to give a couple of my keywords I have targeted..

Ok, here we go:

Keyword #1: Internet Marketing which gets 1,500,000 searches per month according to Googles own Keyword Tool.

I was not even on the charts for this keyword at all for my site, I ran LLH and it was then on about #537 and it steadily started climbing the spots till it got to about #13 to #17 kept flip flopping around, and stayed around there.

Well, a couple of days ago it dropped to #21 and now to #31 am I worried? NOPE, not at all.. Why? Cause I am number “31″ and a month or so ago I was no where to be found at all!

When getting links to your site you need to mix it up a bit. Most people get all their backlinks to point to their main page using a single anchor text link or keyphrase such as: internet marketing tips

So, all the backlinks you get that are pointing back to your site would use the anchor text “internet marketing tips”.

This is a BIG no no…

This is a common mistake most people make as they think that is what it takes to get their site to the top 10. There are a couple of things you MUST do if you want to get even better results and dominate the top 10 search results.

>> Tip #1: Don’t point all the backlinks you get to your homepage *only*. You need to *deep* link to your secondary pages as well.

For example, if your website contains the following
pages…

index.html
internet-marketing-tips.html
internet-marketing-videos.html
sales-conversions.html

… you must get backlinks to all of those pages.

The first step is to register with the social bookmarking website of your choice. This permits you to store your bookmarks, create tags and decide what is made public or private. Some sites will even conduct periodic tests to make sure the links bookmarked are still active.

Once you’ve started using social bookmarking it’s important to alert everyone, or “ping” your site or blog. This permits search engines to be notified of updates, which is an important step in the success of any website or weblog. Traffic is the key.

Sending a “ping” or notification to any of the major directories finds its major use in the area of blogs. When it comes to web sites…

The way people are using the World Wide Web changes on a daily basis. For those who aren’t up to speed with the latest workings and advantages of the internet, they may feel at a loss. They may not have discovered the workings of social media. Ultimately, they may not realize the importance of using these new methods for running an online business.

Social media is, in the most basic sense of things, a shift in the way people share and discover news or informational content. It makes it easy for people to interact with the information they are receiving, instead of simply reading it in a newspaper or magazine. Social media allows people to instantly connect and interact with people all around the world.

* Establish credibility for you and your business

That is a question going around thanks to the new Yahoo! Search Subscriptions!

Yahoo! Search Subscriptions beta is a new way to search the subscription content that’s important to you. By partnering with publishers, Yahoo! is providing the convenience of a single place to access and find all relevant content, whether it’s generally available web content or content from your personal subscriptions. Yahoo! Search Subscriptions also saves you time with a single search that finds relevant information from multiple sources.

It’s a little like a site search feature for several sites at once. When you arrive, you’re asked to click on any of the seven sites that Yahoo! can focus your search on:
